Prior to settlement day, the Montane Property team completes some complex institutional processes, including:
- extensive checks of titles registry forms
- dealing with banks to ensure cheque details are accurate – even small errors can mean settlement does not occur
- release of mortgages
- release of caveats
- booking of banks & financial institutions.
These processes involve a number of parties, who Montane liaise and negotiate with on your behalf:
- the buyer’s solicitor
- seller solicitor
- the releasing bank
- the incoming bank
- settlement agents.
We book settlement and make arrangements to have all these people available, so that your settlement goes ahead on time and without the stress of delays.
Montane Legal takes care of everything on settlement day, from arranging keys to completing settlement.
